Framing an Artist's Work

You may remember me mentioning in this post, back in October, my lucky winnings from the fantastic mixed media artist

 Becky Shander.  

She had a giveaway for a copy of the new publication of Mingle magazine.  That was a great gift in itself, but making the giveaway even sweeter (and in my opinion  maybe even better than the mag!) was Becky enclosing a piece of her gorgeous mixed media art.

I knew I was going do something special with it for sure.

I finally got around to repainting a tiny, ornate frame that I picked up at GW a few years back.

Mounted the sweet little fabric tag onto burlap and a piece of cardboard, and placed it in the frame.

That special little piece of artwork is hanging in my living room on a little bit of wall.  

Perfect fit.

I'm A Winner!

A sweet and kind blogging friend, Kerin at Cottage On Main, held a giveaway offering some cute fallish items, and I was the winner!

Kerin wrapped each item carefully in yellow tissue, tying each bundle with brown ribbon.  

Perfect fall colors.

Kerin attached a handmade tag to one of the bundles.  Isn't it adorable?!

This is it.  

I've been engaged in the sad task of taking down Christmas.  Packing it away for the next 11 months.  I know it looks like I'm creating more of mess than packing up, but I'm reorganizing all my Christmas decor in those festive red and green container bins.  

 FINALLY!!!  

After all these years, I'm done hauling tattered cardboard boxes stuffed with Christmas decor up and down the attic stairs.  All the C'mas is now going to be neatly packed away in their color coordinated totes on shelves in the basement.  

And until this mess is packed away and organized, I can't focus on anything else.  It's driving me nutso!

WOW! HAS IT BEEN A YEAR ALREADY?

I almost can't believe my humble little blog is a year old.  The time has flown by . . . really. Most amazing to me is there's actually people out there interested in what I have to say or share.  With soooo much great stuff out there in blogland, sometimes I wonder how little ole me captures anyone's attention.  

I thank you, all of you.  Those of who drop by regularly, or who stop by occasionally.  I so appreciate those of you who comment frequently, or just now and again.  And those of you who don't comment, I appreciate your visits as well.  I know you're out there . . . the regular readers who don't comment! ;o)  hehe  And that's quite fine as well.  I "lurk" around many blogs myself.

So, as I mentioned in my last post, in standard blogger celebration style, I'm going to share my one-year milestone with all of you by giving away some of my creations.  I so love to create anything with paper (scrapbooker at heart, but loves to dabbling in the "other arts" too ~ sounds like witchcraft!), and Halloween being one of my most fun and favorite times of the year ~ second to Christmas ~ I'm giving away some
