Today is Son No. 3's last full day of school, and it's my day off.
The weather is going to be
be-U-ta-full
today. Sunny with temps in the high 70's with low humidity. I've turned off the AC and thrown open the windows!
How should I spend my last full day of
Mommy Freedom?
Spend some time outside sunning in the gorgeous weather today catching up with my pile of mags and a tall glass of sweet tea?
Playing in my gardens - deadheading, weeding, tying up the thriving veges - just enjoying the flowers?
(Sorry! Couldn't help myself. More garden pics :o)
Finishing up or starting long-awaited decor projects?
Adding the pleated ruffle trim to this chair.
Repainting the stair risers and painting the currently stained spindles of the staircase railing to match the risers.
Changing out the "springish" vignette on my hutch that's very over do. And so many, many other projects.
I feel like I should do something I really, really enjoy.
Something for me.
The days of "I'm bored" and "there's nothing to eat" and "it's hot" and "brother won't share the X-Box" and dishes left all over the house and clothes laying on the floor just in front of the hamper are all about to begin.
Uggghhhhh!!!!!
I want to try to resist the temptation to clean. Well . . . I really do have to run the vacuum. And put in a load or two of wash. Oh, and I need to workout. Maybe a run outside this morning in the comfortable air would be good.
Okay.
I'll run the vacuum real quick this morning. The wash can be doing it's thing while I'm doing mine, right?
Maybe I'll try to do it all . . . or at least a bit of it all. However I decide to spend my last full day off from kids, I'll try to treasure each moment of piece and quite in my tidy house, cause all that's about to end come this afternoon!
Thanks for visiting!

Good Morning !
Sounds like it's going to be a great day, no matter what you do!
I spy the cute wheelbarrow in the background of the garden :)
So jealous of the tomatoes on your plants !
Have a fun filled day :)
Your garden is beautiful, too, Carla! Thanks for visiting mine. Sounds like you have your choice of what to do. Enjoy whatever you wind up doing. I sometimes wish I had that time with the kids again.
I just LOVE seeing all your beautiful pictures! I hope you DID do something for yourself. Lexi has already been out of school for two weeks and the summer play rehearsal has occupied about 3 hours of her day each day during the week. BUT, I have ALREADY heard I am bored a couple of times. I know EXACTLY what you mean. I steal my quiet moments when I can.....especially early in the morning.♥
Your garden is so pretty ~ I'd "show & tell" pictures of it constantly if it were mine. Your deck is wonderful too! I love all the sweet displays.
However you spent your day ~ I hope you enjoyed it!!
Great pics! Enjoy your time :)
