How cool is this?
Any narrow-necked bottle can be transformed into an oil lamp using these cool bottle stopper wicks. I picked a couple of these wick thingys years ago. Somewhere. Don't remember where now.
You simply stick them in a bottle that you've filled with lamp oil. Of course I had to embellish my bottle a bit.
Jute wrapped around the neck.
A pendant found in the jewelry supply aisle at Michael's.
Part of a map torn from an old road atlas that I "aged" using distressing ink and GlimmerMist {It's actually part of Delaware!}.
These would make great gifts if I can find more of the wick thingys!
Thanks for visiting!

I love these! I love how you embellished the bottle. I made one of these years ago with a cobalt blue bottle. Never thought to embellish it! Yours is much cuter. But I am getting anxious seeing that flame so close to the fringe on on your table lamp!!
This is really neat, Carla! I love the way you've dressed up the bottle.
Very creative idea! Love the embelishments. Perfect! I would have gotten one of those ring holders too. Such a cute gift idea. Jean
I love your oil lamp!
I will have to look on the internet to see if I can find these wicks! I found some old bottles years ago.....I think they would be great as oil lamps!
I just cleaned, wrapped and packed my oil lamps for moving, but I want to get them unpacked as soon as I can, after we move.
Oil lamps certainly do make a room cozy!
Have a happy day !
Very pretty Carla! The ideas for this are endless depending upon your decorating styles.

This is fabulous - what a great idea! I love the way you decorated too, especially the map. I have seen some very nice wine bottles lately that would be fun to try that with, and fun to try the wine as well!
great idea...I've done the old fashioned way with candles in my wine bottles but this looks neat & neater:) love how you embellished the bottle too!
Completely awesome idea, Carla! I also enjoyed scrolling back to see your amazing Autumn Inspiration pictures. It's so nice to be blog-hopping again.
Happy Fall,
Mary Lou
