Framing an Artist's Work

You may remember me mentioning in this postback in October, my lucky winnings from the fantastic mixed media artist

She had a giveaway for a copy of the new publication of Mingle magazine.  That was a great gift in itself, but making the giveaway even sweeter (and in my opinion  maybe even better than the mag!) was Becky enclosing a piece of her gorgeous mixed media art.

I knew I was going do something special with it for sure.

I finally got around to repainting a tiny, ornate frame that I picked up at GW a few years back.

Mounted the sweet little fabric tag onto burlap and a piece of cardboard, and placed it in the frame.

That special little piece of artwork is hanging in my living room on a little bit of wall.

Perfect fit.

That's so pretty, Carla! Great idea, too. I have a few pieces I purchased from Michelle Palmer that are not "standard" size and I will probably need to do something like this to frame them.
