DIARY OF A PROCRASTINATOR

You know, when I posted back on Friday about being so "bad" not getting started on my chair recovering project? My plan was to get started on it as one of the day's first priorities. I think I've pretty much convinced you all I can be, at times, a bit of a procrastinator.

So, instead of getting started right away on that project Friday morning,

I ran this

throughout the entire house.

Then I scrubbed this

and the dish drainer and the sink stoppers.

I emptied this

I washed these
and folded them.

I cleaned this
yes, my powder room toilet is a very dated rose color - that will be a future post!
and the other two upstairs.

I even jogged on this
What you can't see in this pic is I'm watching Paula Deen while I'm jogging. Almost seems counterproductive to be watching THE Queen of Butter whilst one engages in an exercise activity!

Then after a shower and getting dressed, I watched an hour of this
I love reruns of Raymond and King of Queens!

Although, while I was watching Raymond, I was visually planning my
attack on the chair.

So, you see, it was as if I was willing to do almost anything but tackle that chair! Well, finally around 3:00 I started . . . I got this much done (and just that amount of work took me . . . like . . . 3 hours!).
I'm planning on spending some more time with my nemesis today while watching the playoff games. Hopefully I'll be able to get a bit more accomplished!

Thanks for visiting!

Leave a comment so I can get to know you.

Ha! Sounds like me {and also my day yesterday}! Do you really think you're going to do it during the play-off game? : ) I planned nothing for today knowing that I wouldn't even get a project started, so I've got no guilt as I sit here on the couch waiting for the Colts/Jets to get started!

Carla, just keep visualizing it and it will get done I know it. I am often hesitant about new projects. I think and think on it and when I get around to it I have a very clear picture of the outcome. Please keep taking those pictures I really want to see the progression of how you are doing this.

BTW I may not have the pink toilet but I do have a 60's pink tub and tile..ick...

And I looooove the darling Valentine crafts you made a couple of posts down. Way to go!! : )

I always used to say
"Procrastination is a silly thing
it only makes me sorrow,
But I can change it anytime
...I think I will TOMORROW!"

I so hear you on this one. But I have to say that I LOVE your backsplash and your laundry room. I would be doing that more often if mine were as nice as yours;)

At least you got all kinds of other things done WHILE you were procrastinating. I usually just end up lazing and NOTHING gets done! Hope you are enjoying your Sunday.♥

Oh, Kathy, you were right. I accomplished nada on the chair yesterday. I spent the first half of the first game cooking, and the rest of the time watching. Besides, DS plopped himself in that chair all day and never moved. I didn't have the heart to kick him out!

Home all day today . . . let's see what gets done.

Lol...so funny Carla, for me it's always backwards, I procrastinate about cleaning while I'm reupholstering! Chair is looking good!
