WHAT A TERRIFIC TRIP! - LOTS TO SHARE

CAUTION - Picture Overload! LOL!!!

What a crazy week! So sorry not have posted till now, but with being away for three four days, and "reclaiming" my house, dealing with the 24 inches of snow that fell while I was away, hitting the grocery store, a doctor's appointment, checking up on my parents, getting ready for another possible 24 inches, things have been a bit hectic as you can imagine!

The girl's weekend away was fantastic, as always. Not so productive for me. As you may remember, it's billed as a scrapbooking retreat weekend. I think it was for most of the girls, but I just could not find my groove. I completed a total of 8 pages - THAT'S IT!!! But you know what? I'm fine with that! I had a wonderfully relaxing time.

Where we were staying, Lititz, PA, received 20 inches of snow. We were all soooo hoping we'd get snowed in. Darn! We were able to get out. I hope you'll indulge me while a share a bunch of photos from the trip. Most of them are of the snow. It was like a wintry magical wonderland around the Inn with the snowy trees. That really took center stage. Got a few pics of the girls and their projects, but the snow scenes were amazing.

We scrapped,

Ann Marie was a total newbie to scrapping this weekend, but she really seemed to be getting into it. YAY! Another convert!

played in the snow . . . well some of us did! . . .

Yes! That's two of the girls rolling around in the snow. A few of us decided to do our version of a "polar bear plunge" and ran outside in the snow in our bare feet. Not sure if this was a tackling situation or a collision. Crazy girls!

relaxed,

napped,

ate,

Freshly baked cookies right from the oven!

just hung-out with our girlfriends,

had maybe just a few cocktails
(hmmm, maybe that's why I only got 8 pages done!)

We actually had a couple more bottles lined up by the end of the weekend. Oh my!

It was a wonderful weekend, and too short.

A sampling of the RAK's we'd find at our scrapping areas all throughout the weekend.

The snow started to fall slowly Friday afternoon. By Friday evening it was full-on snow shower and didn't let up until Saturday afternoon. It was beautiful.

Baeri (Bernese Mountain dog), the Inn's Mascot. What a sweetie!

My suite and views from my balcony . . .

We're all just a little sad the weekend has come and gone so quickly. I can't believe we have to wait a whole 'nother year to get back up there.

I have a super-cute project to share with you that we did up there. We were supposed to take a class at the local scrapbook store Saturday afternoon. Fearing the store would close due the weather, we stopped by the store Thursday and picked up the kits. A few of us worked on the project Saturday night. It's an explosion mini-album just perfect for presenting to your Valentine.

Check back later today to view the album with a little tutorial on how to create it for yourself. I'm still unpacking, and have to dig the little cutie out of one of my many bags! And since I'm pretty much snowed in (it's coming down again!), I'll have plenty of time to get the tutorial up here for you all.

Thanks for visiting!
Leave a comment so I can get to know you.

It looks like you had a great time, Carla ~ snow and all! This looks like a really nice place you stayed at, too. We're in the midst of a blizzard as well, although we lucked out and got nothing on Saturday.

Hi Carla,

Glad you made it home in all that snow! The snow pictures are GORGEOUS and LOOK at all of it!! I'm glad you had so much fun with your friends. 8 pages sounds like a lot to get done to me. What a fabulous time.♥

I am jealous!! I'm not sure I would have gotten any pages done. As hard as it is to believe, I think you have more snow than we do.....glad you got home safe and sound.
