SWELTERING

Phew
It's hot.
A real scorcher.
We're in the midst of yet another heat wave here on the east coast.

Today it reached 101 degrees.
I believe I heard on the news this morning we haven't hit 100 degrees here in our area in a decade.

Before I left the house this morning for work, I made sure my flowers, plants and the gardens were well hydrated to face the soaring temps.

With temps reaching near and well into the 90's the past few days, and no rain at all in the past 7 days, it's getting pretty dry 'round here. The grass has gone dormant and turned brown.

Even Mr. Bunny needed to cool off in the damp, cool soil in the veg garden. See him there above the garden flag?

According to my computer, tomorrow's supposed to hit 103.
Boy . . . wish I had a pool!

Hot and humid here tomorrow too. Thank God for air conditioning!! Makes you understand how necessary a siesta is!

Tell me about it! We have A/C at the day job office, but the main office decided to close at 4 {instead of our regular 5} "due to excessive heat". Whatever, I got out an hour earlier! I don't think we are getting any relief until at least the weekend, unless we get some thunderstorms coming.

Sounds like you...the hubby...and #3 son had a great time on your trip to Florida. Glad you could get away. : )

We usually start getting those kinds of temperatures in July and August. But, it has been weird. In June we had the soaring hot temperatures and no rain, and in July we have had some lower temperatures and lots of rain already! I feel sorry for all of you that aren't used to those kinds of temperatures and I know a lot of places that aren't used to them don't even have air conditioning.

You can come to Oklahoma and use our pool....lol. Hope you can stay cool.
